One more month to go - Happy 11!

author's note: i was getting bored with the old template so have spiced it up a little - hope you like it! don't forget to leave comments, jack likes to know who's reading about him.

wow - in just one month you will be one whole year old...time does fly. well, our decision to take you out of daycare has proved to be a good one. you've gone 6 weeks since your last ear infection and have had a little cold in the meantime which, for the first time did NOT move to your ears - hooray! we saw the ENT in january and he did not recommend tube surgery for you, but wants to see you back in after the winter - another HOORAY! we're hoping your good health continues through february and into the springtime.

january is the month of "da" - everything is "da" you point enthusiastically at photos, the dog, yourself and "DA!" - we promptly respond with naming whatever the item is for you so as not to totally confuse you by thinking the world is made up of "da!" you've also started waving, clapping and doing a funny little jig this month...bruce springsteen is still one of your favorites, with the wiggles a close second :-)

stairs are also a great source of amusement for you - up, up, up you go until someone pulls you back down on your belly. tiring, but good exercise!
this month, you and i took a road trip to washington d.c. to visit aunt maureen, uncle josh and stanley - you had a great time, especially yanking on stanley's fur!

jack goes to washington

though technically a february event, the majority of the fun was in january with the Giants winning the superbowl. every game day you put on your lucky eli manning jersey to cheer on big blue...here's some pictures of you and daddy cheering for the Giants.

Giants vs. Tampa Bay

Giants vs. Dallas

Giants vs. Dallas again (we're missing Green Bay)

SuperBowl!
(and yes, that is the same playoff beard on daddy....)

you have two lonely little bottom teeth - but i keep thinking the top ones are on their way in...i can see them just under your gums, but no actual top teeth yet. you're really getting to be a big boy - you drink one of your bottles out of a cup now and have started eating much more "big person" food - some of your current favorites are veggie sticks, teddy grahams and tortellini. only one more month until your first birthday - where does the time go?

11 months

happy 11 jack-jack!

love,

mommy

Hi Mr. Jack! I was down in Phila. last weekend. I got in late Thursday night and you were so happy I was there that you woke up at 3:00 a.m. -- maybe that's not the best time to greet Nana??? Of course, I did NOT get up to see you then...waited until a more reasonable hour. On Friday your mom and dad went to work and I was on Jack patrol until Becca arrived at 2:00 PM. My, you are a busy, busy little guy -- always on the move -- crawling, cruising around the furniture, playing with your toys! Mom and I took you out to lunch on Saturday - not sure who enjoyed the French Fries more - me or you! Right now Mom is planning to bring you up for a CT visit next weekend, and I will go back with you to take care of you for a few days - don't wear me out! Can't wait to see you again. Until then - lots of hugs, kisses and love, Nana

Hey Jack,
You have one terrific Mom who has worked very diligently to keep up your "blog". What a wonderful job she has done.
The videos and digital pictures will help keep memories that you may not remember when you get older.
You look so strong and healthy standing alone and drinking your apple juice. By the way, your Daddy loved apple juice at your age, too.
Grandpa and I love you very much.
Hugs and kisses,
Grandma Murphy
